The Essential Skills for Managers Certificate is a cohort-based leadership development experience designed for new and emerging managers seeking to strengthen their leadership effectiveness. This applied program focuses on the core capabilities required to lead teams successfully in today’s evolving workplace.
Participants will deepen their skills in coaching, performance conversations, team culture, psychological safety, communication, and accountability. The program blends practical frameworks with experiential learning to ensure managers leave equipped to build healthy, high-performing teams.
School of Business Continuing and Professional Education reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or instructor availability. In the event that a course is cancelled, registrants will receive a full refund.
Refund Policy
For courses less than 3 sessions in length, a 100% refund minus the cost of any course materials will be granted prior to the start of the class. Once the class has started, no refund will be granted.
For courses of 3 or more sessions in length, withdrawal from the course before the third class/session will be eligible for a pro-rated refund minus the cost of any course materials. After the third session, no refunds will be granted.
Your refund will be processed within 7 days of the initial approval. Please note that once we initiate the credit for your return, the credit/debit card company that issued the credit will determine the date the refund will be posted to your account. Please contact your credit/debit card company for the exact posting date.
Any unpaid balances or returned payments are subject to potential collection activity. Collection fees may be added to the balance due, up to an additional 33 1/3% of the balance due.
