CSU Dental Hygiene Clinic
Evaluations - Assessments
The OHS or Oral Health Screening is performed for new patients to establish the person as a patient in the dental hygiene clinic. An OHS must be performed before any dental hygiene services can be provided and after a thorough review of the medical history. During the OHS appointment, a student will complete an extra-intraoral examination, dental charting, periodontal charting, plaque index, and a care plan. This is an assessment and planning appointment.
Comprehensive evaluations are charged at initial appointments and once every (2) two years. Periodic evaluations are charged once every (6) six months.
