USG encourages masks based on preference and assessment of personal risk
The University System of Georgia (USG) continues to recognize COVID-19 vaccines and boosters offer safe, effective protection and urges all students, faculty, staff and visitors to get vaccinated and/or boosted either on campus or with a local provider. As USG works closely with the Georgia Department of Public Health to prioritize the health and safety of campus communities, the system encourages people to wear masks based on their preference and assessment of personal risk.
You must now register and pay online in two places before testing:
  1. The total advanced testing fee is $113 for each exam, which includes the nonrefundable and nontransferable registration fee of $20 payable to Clayton State University and the nonrefundable registration fee of $93 payable to the College Board. To register for CLEP testing with the College Board, create and manage your personal account through the My Account registration portal. Your CLEP registration and fee payment of $93 to the College Board is good for 6 months. Please Note: Once you register, make sure to print your registration ticket to present to the Testing Center on test day. See this College Board site for more complete information about this new CLEP registration and testing process: http://clep.collegeboard.org/register/exam. You must make your Clayton State reservation and pay the $20 registration fee at least one week in advance to ensure seating.
  2. Students who wish to change their testing session appointments must register and pay the $20 registration fee again to Clayton State. Due to many cancellations and no-shows, we will not roll registrations from one session to the next.
  3. This CLEP publication has additional information, including details about required IDs on page 7: http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/clep/infocand.pdf. One current government issued photo ID is required. It is crucial that you refer to the Clayton State University website http://clayton.edu/testing/CLEP for additional instructions regarding the appropriate ID before coming to test and other important information for which you are responsible for knowing.
Bring one ID card, such as a driver's license or passport, with picture and signature for test admittance.
  4. Be certain to talk with your registrar (if from another school) or advisor (if from Clayton State) prior to CLEP registration so that you will sign up for the appropriate tests. The Testing Center cannot guarantee that the CLEP you choose will be accepted by your school of program.
  5. If you have a documented disability, contact the test administrator to make necessary arrangements at least two weeks prior to your test date.
  6. The Testing Center is not on the main campus.  It is located at 5823 Trammell Road, Morrow, GA 30260 in Arbor Hall. If you have any questions that are not answered on our website, please call (678) 466-4495.
