Dennis Conner, “Shepherding in the Valley of Exhaustion”

Prior to March 2020, pastoring the people of God was a challenge, but the pandemic has amplified that difficulty. A common refrain among church leaders today is, “I am/we are simply so exhausted!” The pandemic has led to a mental, emotional, and spiritual exhaustion among those serving the church that is perhaps unparalleled in the American church experience. The more immediate question may not be, “How do we recover our spiritual vitality?” but rather, “How do we endure this time spent in the valley of exhaustion?” In this session we will explore a few spiritual and practical keys that can help us emerge with hope for pastoral renewal.
