Don McLaughlin, “Equipping Hope”

Hope is baked into our human DNA. But hope has taken a hit in the storms we have faced. Hopes are dashed as quickly as they rise. It is as if hope has no shelf life. The hope revealed in Scripture is an “anchor for the soul.” Hope that is strong enough to withstand the storms of life must be built on the solid rock—with emphasis on the word “built.” The second basic service to be restored in the aftermath of this storm is hope, and the next order of business for faith leaders is equipping people to build up strong hope.
