Carson Reed -- Models of Governance: How Do Elders and Ministers Work Together for the Sake of God’s Mission?

One of the most challenging aspects of congregational leadership is negotiating the working relationship between elders and ministry staff. How does work get done, how are decisions made, and by whom? These questions reflect the challenges that can hamper a church’s ministry and mission, create conflict and misunderstanding, and foster inefficiency. This breakout session will include discussion at tables and provide an opportunity to explore more deeply the various principles, practices, and models for healthy governance.
