INTRO TO FILM EDITING

INTRO TO FILM EDITING

4-week workshop
Tuesdays:  April 8, 15, 22, and 29
7:00pm to 9:00 pm
in person at OSU-Tulsa

In this post-production focused workshop, students will receive an introduction to the role of the “editor” within a narrative film framework.

Throughout the course, students will learn foundational editing tools and concepts - from project creation and organization to generating a final edited sample of their work - using Adobe Premiere Pro software.

With footage provided in class, all students will get a hands-on opportunity to cut their own version of a scripted scene. By the end of the course, students will have gained a better understanding of the editing process and terminology that will prepare them for an apprentice level role on future collaborative projects.
