Summer 2026 – Remote, Online Tutoring

Reading and Writing: *Grades 1-8 - Flexible Time Offering

This tutoring is for students who have completed Grade 1 through Grade 7. Tutoring will be online via zoom video conference two times per week beginning the week of June 22nd and ending the week of July 27th for a total of 12, flexibly-scheduled sessions. The tutors will set up a twice a week schedule with families. Students will need access to a computer or tablet for their lessons in a space with minimal distractions.

To reserve your spot, complete this form and provide credit card payment. There is a $50.00 enrollment fee for each program; this covers instructional resources and access to assessments. Applications will be accepted until June 10th or until spots are filled as a limited number are available. Due to the limited number of spots, priority will be given to students who have demonstrated a learning need in literacy.

Please Note: Your child’s attendance and full participation during every session are vital in order to maximize the academic growth of your child and the preparation of our future teachers and reading specialists. If your family is traveling, please keep in mind that it is better to reschedule a session than to attempt for your child to participate from a vehicle or a distracting environment. Students who miss two tutoring sessions may be dropped from the program for the semester, and the tutoring fee will NOT be refunded. Students with excessive absences may not be allowed to return for tutoring in future semesters.

Sessions are recorded throughout the semester for current and/or future research, diagnostic, and/or instructional purposes. To reach optimum efficiency, assessments and evaluations may be administered to determine initial placement, identification of strengths, needs, and progress. Whenever student records are used in an instructional situation, confidentiality is maintained in compliance with the Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (PL 93-380). Whenever student records are used for research purposes, confidentiality is maintained in compliance with the OSU Institutional Review Board and Title 45 Code of Federal Regulations Part 46 (45 CFR 46 "Basic HHS Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects”).
