Beginning Creative Writing

Do you have stories inside you just begging to be told? Have people always told you that you should be a writer? In this 6-week introductory workshop, we’ll explore elements of creative writing including voice, characterization, conflict, setting, plot, dialogue, and more. No writing experience necessary!

This 5 week workshop will be in person on the OSU-Tulsa Campus and via Zoom on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on February 2nd, February 9th, February 16th, February 23rd, and March 2nd.

Instructor: Jerilynn Aquino

Instructor Bio: Jerilynn Aquino is a Puerto Rican writer from Philadelphia. Her work has appeared in Reed Magazine, River Styx, Gulf Coast, Passages North, Lunch Ticket, and elsewhere. She received her M.F.A. in Fiction from Temple University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Creative Nonfiction at Oklahoma State University.
