P.O.P Into the Film Industry

Workshop description. We are here in Oklahoma in the best possible time to work in film and television. P.O.P. means Preparation, Opportunity, and Performance. Preparation is knowledge of production and set protocol, resources, and a clear understanding of both how to get film jobs and even create your own. After preparing as much as you can, then you have to convert that into opportunity. That means meeting people and being opportunistic (without being obnoxious!). Being the shiny object in an ocean of competition. Performance means that no matter which side of the camera you are on, you maximize your skills and abilities. I’ll help you get there!

This workshop will be via Zoom on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Instructor: Robert Peters

Instructor Bio: Robert Peters has been a working actor and filmmaker in Los Angeles for over 30 years but grew up in Tulsa. He has worked with top directors including Steven Spielberg, Steven Soderbergh, Sir Richard Attenborough, and Martin Scorsese. He has written, directed, and produced several award winning films that have screened at prestigious film festivals around the world. He has over 150 film credits and over 100 national commercial campaigns to this name.
