Joys of Genre

This workshop will be held remotely on 3/25, 4/1, 4/8, 4/12, and 4/22 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

We will look at various existing genres--fantasy, western, horror, crime, romance--as well as examples from those genres. We will break down the common tropes in those genres, looking at how they might be used and how they might be defied. We will write exercises in those genres, culminating in a full short story in your preferred genre.
