Interested in majoring in Dance, or just getting better?

An afternoon of classes, tour of the Browning Center, dinner/discussion with WSU Dance faculty and alumni, and tickets to Fall Orchesis Dance Theatre. The workshop is also an audition for Dance Scholarships.

Preregistration price: $20
Price the day of: $30

For High School Dance Teachers: A special session, Building Creative & Critical Thinking Through Dance (in addition to the dinner/discussion and Orchesis). This activity-based workshop will also share some of the latest research.

Come take class with new faculty member Jo Blake (formerly with Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company)

Schedule:
8:30 am – Check in at WSU Shepherd’s Union
9:00 am – Orientation with HS students, HS educators, HS parents, and WSU Faculty
9:15-10 am – Contemporary Ballet with Amanda Sowerby
10-10:45 am – Improvisation with Erik Stern
10:45- 11:30 am ­– Contemporary Modern w/ jo
11:30- 12 pm – Tour of Browning Center and selected areas of campus
12-1 pm – Lunch and Q&A with jo Blake and Moving Company dancers including WSU student works
1-2:30 pm – Scholarship Auditions
