Red Cross Trainer Course - Spring 2025 - CPR/AED and First Aid

Date: Feb 6-8 (must attend all sessions)

Become an Instructor! This course presents the material and evaluation for participants to become a Red Cross Instructor for CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer. This can be a valuable certification for professionals in many fields, as well as community group leaders, youth leaders, etc.

*Completion of this course does not assume employment at WSU

The CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with First Aid course teaches participants how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for an adult, child, and infant, how to use an AED, and basic First Aid skills. The certification is valid for two years and no prerequisites are required.  This course will be held at the Outdoor Adventure and Welcome Center on the Ogden WSU Campus. 

Registration must be complete a minimum of 5 days before the course date in order to recieve and have enough time to complete the online learning modules. 

Cancellation/Refund Policy

• If the course is canceled by WSU Campus Recreation, I will receive a 100% refund.
• If participants cancel after the registration within 7 days of the scheduled program, they will not receive a refund.
• If participants cancel registration anytime prior the aforementioned 7 day refund deadline, they will receive a 50% refund of the registration cost.

Informed Consent

The undersigned in consideration for the right to participate in the below described activity (“Activity”) hereby agrees to this waiver and release. I recognize that the Activity may have a risk of personal injury and/or damage to my property. I hereby freely assume all risks which may be associated with or result from participating in the Activity including, but not limited to: travel to and from, instruction, participation, and competition. I further agree to release the State of Utah, Weber State University (WSU), their officers, employees, agents, contractors and volunteers (“Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, loss, claim, damage, injury, illness, or harm (“Claims”) to me of any kind or nature arising out of participation in the Activity including where Claims occur due to the negligence of Releasees. I also agree that The American Red Cross and its officer, employees, agents, contractors and volunteers is included as a Releasee.
