Labor Support Skills Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to provide hospital labor and delivery nurses and obstetric health care providers (midwives, obstetricians) with advanced labor support training. This is an interactive workshop including case scenarios, role play and hands-on practice stations. Attendees will: Review the most current definitions of normal and abnormal labor and review evidenced based strategies to promote labor progress. Get hands-on training and practice of labor progress and comfort measure techniques for all stages of labor. Learn current evidence and strategies for fetal well being assessment. Registration fee covers workshop supplies and lunch.
