We hear over and over that we are made in the image and likeness of God, but what does that really mean? What does it mean to recognize that God is within us, and how should that influence the way we treat ourselves? When we interact with others, how do we honor the fact that they are also made in the image and likeness of God? How do we allow Christ to shine through us so others may come to know Him through us? All these questions and more are at the center of the Radiate Christ

Taking Flight explores the concept of discernment and next steps beyond UD. Participants will be empowered to examine what fuels them within their call to discipleship, how to engage in faith beyond UD, and how they can prepare for the transition of graduation.

The Rise Retreat engages first-year students to explore their sense of call and the role that Jesus and discipleship play within their pursuit of their calling.

This retreat opportunity is designed for faculty and staff to take time for prayer, reflection, and relaxation over the Martin Luther King holiday in January. Please contact Fr. Tom Schroer tschroer1@udayton.edu with questions.

In this new retreat, participants will build upon the understanding that all are created in the image and likeness of God and that all embody a spark of God's divine love. Student leaders will share their experience and create open spaces for safe dialogue where participants can explore the intersection of identities as both people of faith and as LGBTQ+ Allies.
