Important Notice
South Texas College will begin administering the Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2). TSIA2 will replace the current TSI placement exam. TSIA2 will be integrating Writing and Reading into one section called the English Language Arts Reading section. Regarding Mathematics, the current TSI Math section will remain.
If you meet college readiness standards with the current TSI placement – the scores will remain valid for five years from the date of testing; this also applies to the TSIA2 exam. However, for students who are retesting, TSIA, and TSIA2 test results cannot be combined. These are two different placement exams which one will replace the other.
