20th Annual Turkey Trot (Donation)

Since 2005, the South Texas College Kinesiology Department has hosted the Turkey Trot 2.2-mile walk/run. The purpose of the event is to foster community engagement and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, while also providing support to those in need during the holiday season. Over a 16-year period, over 20,000 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected and donated to the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank. As of 2021, food items are no longer accepted and a monetary donation was implemented in support of the South Texas College Food Pantry.

The 20th Annual Turkey Trot will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

One participant per registration form.

Every participant must complete a waiver form. 

Read carefully before acknowledge.

In consideration of the acceptance of the registration entry, I the undersigned, assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur during my participation in the Annual South Texas Kinesiology Department Turkey Trot event or while I am on the premises of the event. I hereby release and hold harm-less the sponsors, promoters, coordinators, volunteers, and all other persons and entities associated with the event or otherwise. I acknowledge that I am familiar with the dangers involved in participation in such an event, that there may be defects in the 2.2mile run/walk Turkey Trot surfaces or other permanent obstacles which I must be careful to avoid. I also recognize that there may be vehicular traffic along the course. I understand that I may be running/walking on the street where there are vehicles driving through and that I must run/walk on the legal side of the road and in a safe manner. You (for yourself and for anyone claiming or holding by, though, or under you) agree to donate $20.00 when due and INDEMNIFY AND HOLD THE South Texas College, South Texas Kinesiology Department, Officers, Employees, and Volunteers Harmless from any Damages (including attorney fees) resulting directly or indirectly from your participation in the Annual South Texas Kinesiology Department Turkey Trot (2.2 mil run/walk) or use of its services in conjunction with the (2.2 mile run/walk) or your violation of this agreement. **Dogs are allowed – must be on a leash**
