The Charles Gilpin Players ("Glipins" or CGP) are the performing arts organization of the Theatre Department at PVAMU. We produce 2 mainstage productions each year, numerous troupe performances for on-campus events and performances throughout the state of Texas and nationwide. Founded in 1929, CGP has a unique legacy as the oldest, consistently-performing theatre company that featured artists of color in Texas, providing the PVAMU campus and surrounding communities with dynamic theatrical productions.
