Gordon T. and Ellen West College of Education

The West College of Education prepares students to enter the teaching profession with considerable experience and confidence. This integration of theory and practice, combined with the alignment of curriculum with the Texas standards for teachers, has resulted in our students having one of the highest success rates on the state-required teacher certification examinations (ExCET). In 2004-2005, more than 97% of students passed all required ExCET tests during their first year. Donations support our students, faculty, and mission.
