Lakeland Community College operates a civic theater program that is open for any student or community member to join by audition. Exceptional play and musical productions occur twice per year, once in the fall and another in the spring semesters. Performers, stagehands, and the technical crew can include equity actors, community members, and students. All professional performances are held in the Dr. Wayne L. Rodehorst Performing Arts Center, where every seat has a great view and an intimate theater feel.
Due to the pandemic, we have postponed our plans for Civic Theatre at Lakeland. We are hoping to resume with a show in the fall 2021 or spring 2022; however, we encourage you to view our civic music fall 2020 virtual concert and each music ensemble's masterclass. For more information about each of our ensembles, the fall concert, or the masterclasses, please visit Civic Music.
Although we are unable to provide a theatrical experience at this time, we welcome donations large and small to support the work that we do. If you would like to Support the Arts at Lakeland, please add this product to your cart and on the checkout page you'll see a list of donation options. For all Arts at Lakeland donation categories, please visit Support the Arts at Lakeland. Thank you for your support!
Current Lakeland students and community members are encouraged to participate or be a part of the audience for the Lakeland Civic Theatre:
