The Visual and Performing Arts Fund supports all of the Arts at Lakeland: Lakeland's Civic Music, Lakeland's Civic Theatre, and the Gallery at Lakeland.
Civic Music ensembles include Lakeland's Civic Band, Civic Chorus, Civic Flute Choir, Jazz Impact, Civic Jazz Orchestra, and Civic Orchestra. Each ensemble consists of students and community members who practice and prepare together to perform at least one performance each fall and spring semester. Visit Lakeland's Civic Music webpage to learn more.
Twice a year, members of the community can enjoy or participate in exceptional play productions that range in themes from classical literature to the avant-garde, famed musicals to beloved comedies. Performers can include equity actors, community members and students. These professional productions take place in the 400-seat Dr. Wayne L. Rodehorst Performing Arts Center, where every seat has a great view of the stage and the feel of an intimate theater setting. Visit Lakeland's Civic Theatre webpage to learn more.
The Gallery at Lakeland presents art exhibitions year round, including an annual Holiday Artists market to benefit the "Lakeland Community College Visual Arts Student Exhibition." Exhibitions support Lakeland's fine arts academic programs and employees, diversity efforts at the college, community arts groups, and local, regional and national artists. For more information on programming, the gallery space, etc. Visit The Gallery at Lakeland's webpage to learn more.
