Waitlist Policy

Most of our continuing education courses have a "maximum number of participants" and once that number has been reached, registration closes for that course. If you are interested in taking a course that has reached capacity, you are welcome to add your name to the waitlist by filling out our Waitlist form online. Should one or more seats open up in the week leading up to the class, we will reach out to everyone on the course waitlist to let them know of the available spot(s), and the first to respond and pay for the registration will will the seat.

Cancellation Policy

To withdraw from a class or workshop, students must contact LSSU Continuing Education (continuinged@lssu.edu or call the LSSU Library at 906-635-2815 and leave a message) at least 5 business days before the first class meeting in order to receive a refund. We are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts or illness. Due to instructor preparations and travel, we do not provide refunds for withdrawals given less than a 5 business day notice.

If a class does not have the minimum number of students enrolled, we will notify you prior to the first session that the class is cancelled and will offer a full refund to the student.

In the event that the LSSU is closed due to inclement weather, classes will be cancelled. To the best of our ability, we will schedule a make-up class.
