CavCard - Departments using JCCC Funds

• Individual CAV cards may not have a face value greater than $50.00
• A request to purchase CAV cards must be approved by the Budget Administrator
• CAV cards should not be purchased using Federal, State, City or other types of grant or endowment funds unless the terms and conditions permit such purchase
• CAV cards may be given to students when it is a prize and the selection was random or part of an incentive program.  They may not be given for an honorarium or for services rendered. 
• CAV cards cannot be purchased as gifts for students, both current and graduated, as these payments may be considered income when determining a student's financial aid package and have an impact on other need-based financial aid the student may receive
• CAV cards cannot be given to a business or organization in lieu of payment for goods or services or payment for future business
• Exceptions to the general provisions must have prior approval from the Manager, Accounts Payable
• A completed W-9 form or other appropriate tax information must be received before CAV cards will be approved
