KCVA Veteran Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Summit

The KCVA Veteran Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Summit is a one-day event dedicated to supporting Veterans. Come together with mental health, health care professionals; and community members committed to serving Veterans to discuss the challenges faced by Veterans and explore strategies for suicide prevention and wellness.

This in-person event will take place in the Regnier Center at the Johnson County Community College campus.  The summit is an opportunity to attend informative presentations, engage in open discussions, and connect with resources that can make a real difference in the lives of Veterans and their families. With a focus on mental health and suicide prevention, this summit aims to foster a supportive community and raise awareness about the importance of mental well-being.

Who should attend this summit?

This summit is for anyone who cares for or provides care for Veterans. While anyone is welcome to attend, the content will be focused on providing services for Veterans and their families.

Is there a cost?

No, this is a free event. You may purchase a boxed lunch (for $16.39 each) if you choose.  There are dining options on and around campus or feel free to bring your own.

Can I come and set up a table with information for my organization?

Unfortunately we are very limited on space, please email Cara Murray to see what is available. There will be a table available for putting brochures or contact information.
