Terms of Agreement
The rental fee is non-refundable
If the iPad, iPad cover, dock connector to USB cable, 10W USB power adapter, or any part thereof is missing or damaged upon return, the renter will be responsible for the AppleCare deductible or current replacement cost (whichever applies).
The iPad, iPad cover, dock connector to USB cable, 10W USB power adapter, or any addditional items rented are due by 6pm on the RETURN DATE listed on the agreement, to the Student Government office (WU 225).
The late fee is the amount of the rental fee and will be assessed after the return date. In addition, the Bursar will place a hold on the renter's academic records rendering the renter unable to register and obtain transcripts. If circumstances warrant, an extension may be granted by contacting the Student Government Office at 481-6586 (this must be done before 6pm in the last day of finals for the semester/session in which the iPad was rented.)
The University may install applications on each iPad prior to loaning the device, and shall be responsible for those applications and associated support. Students are responsible for appropriate use of the device including the use of any University-installed applications. Students further agree to operate the device within the Purdue Fort Wayne Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct. Students agree to engage in lawful use of the loaned device. Unlawful use of the device will be reported to the Dean of Students or other authorities as deemed necessary.
Students may separately purchase and install personal applications on the device, provided they are aware that they alone are responsible for all activities performed while using the application, and any charges due to Apple or third parties while installing or updating the application. An Apple ID set up by the student should be used for any personal applications. Purdue University Fort Wayne is not responsible for disposition of personal applications when the device is returned.
Students will be required to sign the iPad Rental Agreement in the SGA office to complete the rental agreement.
